Grass-fed & pasture-raised
A family cattle and hog farm on the driftless ridges. Every cut is flash-frozen at harvest and shipped cold, so it arrives exactly as it left the barn.
Our story
Coulee Bend began as a cow-calf operation in 1978 and grew into a whole-diet livestock farm when the next generation came home to the land.
Our animals move to fresh grass daily, finish on pasture, and never see a feedlot. What that costs in time, it returns in the eating.
We harvest to order and freeze at the peak, then pack every box with enough dry ice to reach your door still solid.

How we ship
Frozen meat is perishable freight. Here is exactly how we keep it solid in transit — read this before you order.
Every cut is frozen within hours of processing and stays frozen until it reaches you — never thawed and refrozen.
Orders ship in insulated liners packed with enough dry ice to stay frozen for up to 48 hours in transit.
We ship 1–2 day service so your box spends as little time in the cold chain as possible. No ground shipping on meat.
Ship days
We ship Monday–Wednesday only.
Shipping early in the week keeps your box out of a weekend warehouse. Orders placed Thursday–Sunday go out the following Monday.
We ship Monday through WednesdayWhere we ship
To guarantee frozen delivery within our 48-hour window, we ship only to states we can reach in time.
Outside these states? Join the list below — we add regions as our carrier lanes expand.
“Arrived rock-solid frozen with dry ice to spare. The ground beef is the best we've had.”

“The pork chops ruined us for the grocery store. Standing monthly order now.”
“You can tell these animals lived well. Clean flavor, honest people.”
One email a month: what's back in the freezer, when the next harvest ships, and which states we've just added.
